In implementing this project, the LHR believes that there will be multiple beneficiaries. But in general the public at large will be better off in either gaining awareness or being vigilant of their rights and interests. This in effect has the tendency to boost civic engagement in the government. The network that is planned to be created under this project will benefit persons with disabilities as their interests will be better reflected in the legislative process and pull efforts together. LHR expects that entities working on the rights of PWD will bring their efforts together and advocates the rights effectively in an organized manner.
The training on judicial review for legal advisors of administrative agencies and the business community will benefit citizens seeking services from such government agencies. While on the one hand it builds the capacity of administrative agencies to be responsive for the interests of citizens, it also helps citizens to assert their rights from such entities. It is expected that the administrative agencies will have an improved capacity and readiness to properly implement the Administrative Procedure Proclamation which authorizes judicial review of administrative decisions. The panel discussion on judicial ethics and transparency will benefit both the courts and the public in reiterating the importance of ethical standards in the judicial reform process and build enhance public thrust towards the judiciary.
