Feteh is a six months project running from December 2019- May 2020. The Federal Attorney General is also working with us in supporting and organizing the trainings. One of the project activities include delivering training to federal and regional public prosecutors on their role in the protection of human rights in the criminal justice system. Accordingly, a consultant was commissioned to develop a training manual and deliver the training. The trainings were successfully delivered in Mekele (Feb. 7 & 8) and Dire Dawa (Feb. 21 & 22).
The other project activity was to organize a training to mid-level officials and employees of prison administrations on the roles they have in the promotion and protection of human rights in correctional institutions. Similarly, a consultant was hired to produce a training manual and deliver the training. The training was successfully delivered in Bahir Dar (March 13 & 14). This same training is expected to be undertaken at Adama in the first week of April.
